The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) Council at its sixth meeting, held on July 6-13 2010 at Gimbi town of Western Wollega Zone of Oromiya Regional State of Ethiopia has re-elected Rev. Dr. Berhanu Ofgaa to serve the Church as a General Secretary for a period of four years.  Rev. Dr. Berhanu has been serving on this position for a year elected to fill the vacancy created following the election of Rev. Dr. Wakesyoum Idosa former General Secretary to be the President of the Church a year ago. The EECMY Gimbi Jorgo Synod hosted this council meeting.
